One of the region’s fastest growing regional flagship events, Taste Riverina Festival, promises to boost tourism visitation to the Riverina and will release its 20-page festival program this week. Find your program link HERE.

 

“With over one hundred food and produce events, and a wide range of agricultural tourism experiences on offer, we expect an influx of visitors to Taste Riverina will stimulate the visitor economy, according to Mr Greg Lawrence, Chair, Riverina Tourism..

 

“Our largest source market is regional NSW, so we’ve embarked on a marketing campaign in Albury, Orange, and the ACT to encourage visitors within four hours drive to attend a festival unique to the Riverina”, he said.

 

With an expected visitation of around 10,000 people, it is anticipated that the festival will contribute over $2million to the regional economy.

 

“Tourism in our region is a vital industry, bringing off-farm income for our rural communities, and encouraging spending on local produce, restaurants and cafes, and accommodation businesses.

 

Riverina Tourism is the lead agency for the Taste Riverina festival, marketing and managing the festival with a committee comprised of local food and beverage industry champions and member council representatives.

 

The festival program will be distributed through regional newspapers on Friday 4th September and is also available at regional Visitor Information Centres.
