Born in Leeton, Alison has a passion for local events and everything the Riverina has to offer. Having completed a joint degree in Tourism Management and Marketing in Albury, Alison started working with Leeton Shire Council as the Event Coordinator in 2010. Throughout her career she has worked in a number of varied roles; from picking fruit in the local orchards, coordinating the day-to-day functions of the Leeton Visitor Information Centre through to working as a Production Manager with one of the region’s largest food producers – Alison has seen it all.

She spent time living and working in Hiroshima, Japan which strengthened her love of our local country hospitality and fresh produce. She believes the Riverina is an area bursting with opportunity and considers local events a key driver for boosting visitors into the region.

Alison has worked extensively with numerous local events including the Leeton SunRice Festival, Farmers Markets and Light Up Leeton. She also has experience with hosting conferences and large corporate functions.

She values the importance of using local suppliers and produce wherever possible and is excited to be a part of the Taste Riverina Festival Committee once again.
